ASCP Forum Series - F2F Event, 9am – 3pm Tuesday, 17th June 2025

The June 2025 ASCP Pavement Technical Forum will feature speakers across the full spectrum of the concrete paving industry, with topics as widely varied.

The morning sessions will see Jun So (Acciona) deliver an update on the Design and Construction Challenges of SFCP for Coffs Harbour Bypass Project followed by Priyam Thakkar (Ferrovial Constructions CHBJV) discussing a Contractors Perspective of CHBP SFCP which will lead into morning tea.

After morning tea, Brendan Leader (NTRO) will present on the widening on concrete pavements followed by Matt Eifermann (Eifers)  which will lead into our networking lunch.

Succeeding lunch, Graham Foley (Graham Foley and Associates), will outline Melbourne’s Rigid Pavement – Early to Late C20th. Following on from lunch, Simon Keane (Aurecon) will dive into the Transurban Rigid Pavements Asset Overview. To conclude the day Michael Moffat (NTRO) will deliver an update on the upcoming NTRO Conference along with AGPT:02 updates

Caleb Hayde (ASCP) will then provide a general update and address any recent or upcoming ASCP news.

[2025 Waitlist] – TfNSW Grey Card: Rigid Pavements Concrete Pavement Crew Training

This course is presented by the Australian Society for Concrete Pavements under agreement with Transport for NSW (TfNSW).

Note: This is an ongoing 'waitlist' for all expressions of interest for the TfNSW Rigid Pavements Concrete Pavement Crew Training Grey Card.  Once we have a cohort to conduct the training and have locked in a date, you will be contacted with possible dates. We aim to run 1-2 courses per month

Members: $550 ex GST per person

Non-Members: $650 ex GST per person

Class Size and Format

The course is intended for individuals or organisations requiring training. For organisations the ASCP can conduct the course with a minimum of 10 and maximum 30 people requiring the course.  ASCP typically provides the course at the organisations preferred location. The course can also be presented online.

Target Audience

Course attendance is mandatory (under TfNSW Major Roadworks specifications) for concrete paving crews and their immediate supervisors. Participation is also recommended for associated staff such as engineers, project managers, testing operators, audit & surveillance staff, quality managers and materials suppliers. Participants on successful completion of the course are issued with a Grey Card (Valid for 5 years) from TfNSW. The  course is suitable for maintenance crews but does not specifically cover maintenance issues.

• Session 02b - Control of slump and water
• Session 03 - Forms, reinforcement, dowels and tiebars
• Session 04 - Compaction
• Session 05 - Placing and paving
• Session 06 - Finishing and texturing
• Session 07 - Curing , protection & joints
• Session 08 – Questionnaire
