Call for Conference Papers

THE CALL FOR CONFERENCE ABSTRACT PAPERS IS NOW OPEN

The 2025 ASCP Conference aims to extend the scope of previous events to include papers on the future of concrete pavements.

In addition to papers about the foundations of concrete pavements (design, construction, materials and equipment), the Conference seeks to present information related to relevant industry innovation topics, life cycle assessments, and circular economy considerations.

The Conference will be conducted over two days. There will be a provision of two concurrent streams throughout both days. The International Society for Concrete Pavements plans to provide presenters, with other international presenters being invited.

Expression of Interest

Persons and organisations interested in presenting papers at the Conference should express their interest to ASCP by 31st March 2025 using the submission form at the bottom of this page.  It should include:

• Proposed title of the paper
• Proposed author(s)
• Max 250 words outlining the principal content/conclusions of the paper.
• Must use ASCP Abstract Template

Abstracts must be submitted via the Abstract Submission form (below) by 31st March 2025. All abstracts must be written using the ASCP Abstract Template and formatted as a PDF document. ASCP will aim to respond to all abstract submissions by 30th April 2025.

Selected abstract final papers will be required by 31st July 2025.

Conference Topics

The ASCP Concrete Pavements Conferences aim to bring new information to the Australian industry. Preference will be given to papers that present new developments, new research, and improvements on past procedures and practices. Our Conference topics include:

• Concrete Roads and the Circular Economy
• Sustainability for Road Pavements
• Innovations for Concrete Road Pavements
• Concrete Materials and Mix Design
• Management/Surveillance of Concrete Pavements
• Pavement Construction
• Pavement Design
• Heavy-Duty Pavements (Airfields, Intermodals, Ports)
• Urban Concrete Applications (Track Slabs, Cycling Paths, Roundabouts)
• Roller Compacted Concrete
• Project Case Studies

Guidelines for Abstract Submissions

The following guidelines apply for the submission of all abstracts:

• All abstracts are to be submitted via the online submission form below using the provided template
• Abstracts should be no more than 250 words in length
• Abstracts for concurrent papers should be submitted by 31st March 2025
• Submissions must include a biography of the presenter of up to 150 words.
• Submissions not including a biography of the presenter will not be considered.
• The Committee reserves the right to accept or reject any submissions and extend or shorten presentation duration.

Important Information for Author/ Presentations

• Authors will be advised of the outcome of their abstract submission by 30th April 2025, at which time the ‘Final Paper Preparation Guidelines’ document will be provided.
• The presenting author must register to attend the Conference
• Presenters will be extended a discount off the full Conference registration fee
• Presenters will be required to register via the online conference registration form and should select the ‘Presenter Registration’ type, which has the discount applied.
• It is a requirement of participation that all Conference oral presenters submit a Paper and a PowerPoint presentation
• The paper and presentation will made available on the ASCP Website following the Conference
