Paper by LEMLIN JASIENSKI VAN CAUWELAERT PILATE BERLÉMONT from ISCR 10th 2006 Brussels Belgium
The Administration of the Ministry of Equipment and Transport of the Walloon Government, together with researchers of the Federation of the Belgian Cement Industry and the Belgian Road Research Centre, put into practice a software program for the structural design of pavements. This program is in use for several years now and it was improved and completed. The most important additions concerned the implementation of a module for the evaluation of existing pavements, a more realistic fatigue law for pavement concrete, a better insight in the detrimental impact effect of tandem and tridem axle loads, the taking into account of deterioration of bond and shear transfer and finally a complete translation of the software, initially programmed in Delphi-Pascal, in an object oriented programming language.
