The Advance of Concrete Pavement in Brazil

The Brazilian Army looked the Associação Brasileira de Cimento Portland (ABCP) for a strategic partnership, aiming to transfer technology and train the troops for such works. The result of this partnership was a full concrete pavement construction and control technology course, lasting two weeks, covering all stages, also including practical training, with a construction of a school test section at the jobsite. Only after properly trained and approved by the High Military Command, the soldiers were released to the jobsite and the construction work had place. The result of such partnership has generated a high quality product and allows the development of several new jobsite procedures.
