Paper by HASLEHNER LITZKA MITTERBAUER from ISCR 7th 1994 Vienna Austria
In view of the growing need for economic methods for rural road rehabilitation and reconstruction the use of cement stabilization mixed in place with existing pavement materials (recycling of milled material) is considered to be an economic and resource-saving approach. This paper describes the preparatory works required (inspection of the existing pavement, suitability testing) and the different stages of the construction works. The resulting increase of the load-bearing capacity has been proven by measurements. A cost comparison is provided and the application conditions and limitations are discussed.
