Clybucca CRCP pavement performance, CRCP reports, ISCP Conference feedback, supply & availability of SCMs, RMS report and update, Raw Material Contamination - ASCP Forum Sydney 17 Oct, 2016

ABOUT THIS FORUM
This forum offers several in-depth presentations about CRCP road pavements.
It also includes presentations about the supply and availability of flyash and slag, and the outlook for
future supply and demand scenarios. RMS will discuss Mix Design Verification Checklists, and there
will be a final presentation about issues related to Raw Material Contamination.
The forum opens with a review of the admirable performance of the CRCP pavement at Clybucca
Flats which was constructed in 1975. Following, there will be a series of presentations, largely
related to CRCP.
Active crack control was trialled on the Kempsey Bypass project three years ago, and the details of
that provide valuable information for all forum delegates.
The ISCP held its 11th International Concrete Pavements Conference in San Antonio, Texas at the end
of August. Quite a number of ASCP Members attended that conference and, while there, held a
number of valuable meetings with international delegates about matters of interest to our industry
in Australia. Discussion topics included CRCP practices and performance in USA and Europe, as well
as concrete airfield pavement construction practices.
There will be a presentation providing a summary of the conference papers and proceedings, and
some more in-depth presentations about specific learnings from the conference and the meetings
held with other delegates.
