Cement Concrete Characteristics For Road Pavements Practical Experience with the Polyfunctional Composite Pavement (Pcp)

Paper by MARCBIONNA LUMINARI PERONI BASTINELLI TOMASI FOGACCIA CARDINALE CRUCIO ALUNNO ROSSETTI from ISCR 6th 1990

A stretch of the slip-road between the Al and A2 (Fiano tomano-S. Casareo) has been made of PCP (polyfunctional .omposite pavement). The system is "composite" owing to the rresence of several layers: mix cemented to cement binder, :ontinuous reinforcement concrete slab and bituminous layer; 'polyfunctional" owing to the diverse functions it is called upon operform. "he results oflaboratory tests carried out from February to July 988 during works for spreading the mix layer in cemented mix nd of the concrete paving are described and commented upon. n particular the following properties have been determined on resh concrete: composition, workability, temperature; and on iardened concrete: strengths, elastic properties, shrinkage and lurability. n addition, a report is submitted of ascertainments via high-erformance apparatus on the completed works.)ata acquired during the implementation, along with those toe collected in time, will be a useful reference for setting upriteria of structural models and their updating with a view toncreasing the reliability of PCP.
