The November 2024 ASCP Pavement Technical Forum featured speakers across the full spectrum of the concrete paving industry, with topics as widely varied. The morning sessions saw Richard Wix (NTRO) deliver an outline of “The Science of Ride Quality Measurement , followed by Jun So (Arcadis) who walked us through the Design Principles of CRCP. Following Jun, Jovan Trajanoski (Dowsing Group) shared the 15 Years of Successful Australian Experience in Diamond Grinding.
After a morning tea break, Tim Buckingham-Jones (Aurecon) presented an overview of Light Rail Trackslab Designs, followed by Ming Yang (SMEC) and Farid Khayyer (Tonkin+Taylor) who provided an update on the performance and designers' perspective of the North East Link. Rounding out the morning sessions was Simon Keane (AECOM) who discussed Paving in the Public Domain, which led into our networking lunch. Following the lunch break and concluding the days activities, Brendan Leader (NTRO), conducted a tour through the NTRO headquarters.
