About Dr. Parvini
Dr. Parvini has over 35 years of practical, research, and teaching experience in pavement engineering. After receiving his Ph.D. from Canada, he moved to the US and joined the California Department of Transportation. During his career at Caltrans, he has initiated several innovative pavement programs such as Precast Concrete Pavement, Pervious Pavement, Two-lift Concrete Pavement, and Recycled Concrete Pavement. He also pioneered the implementation of the Mechanistic-Empirical pavement design methodology in Caltrans. In addition to training professionals in the US, he has traveled to countries such as Iran, India, and South Korea to share his knowledge with practitioners.
