About Dr. Tibbetts
Dr. Caitlin Tibbetts received her doctorate at the University of Florida researching the durability and transport properties of structural concrete using alternative supplementary cementitious materials. Her postdoctoral work further investigated the porosity of different concrete mixtures and the effect of permeability-reducing admixtures.
Dr. Tibbetts has worked for the US Army Corps of Engineers as a Research Civil Engineer in the Airfields and Pavements Branch since 2021. Her research explores multiple aspects of concrete materials for use in airfields and pavements including sustainable mixture designs, accelerated pavement testing and instrumentation, seawater concrete, and quality assurance testing.
