Requirements for the Application of Surface-Retarders in Whisper-Concrete Road-Projects

Although the quality of the surface-deactivator is very important, the surface-deactivator will only react to the quality of the concrete onto which the surfcedeactivator is applied to. Therefore the surfacedeactivator will not be able to compensate for segregations, unsuitable concrete mix-designs or mistakes in application, etc. It is always recommended to contact the supplier of the surface-deactivator before the paving starts, in order to avoid mistakes in application or to get the most recent informations concerning new developments, e.g. with reference to the new chemical rain-protection products.
