In connection with a rehabilitation project, the long-term performances of 15km existing old jointed pavement were comprehensively surveyed. The collected data included visual conditions, roughness measurements, core tests, and FWD defleLtions. By analyzing the FWD measurements, the in situ struchiral moduli were backcalculated, and then, the fatigue damage of existing concrete pavement was assessed. Based on the investigated results, the bonded overlay method was proposed to remedy functional and structural deficiencies of existing pavement. The experimental section of 200m length thin bonded steel fiber concrete overlay was constructed to demonstrate the design and construction procedures.
