Renovation of an Apron in Front of a Hangar on Brussels National Airport Using Quick-Setting Concrete

The pavement of the apron on Brussels National Airport, which was constructed in the early sixties, was forming cracks. Given that fragments of concrete could in time be a danger to the aircraft engines, a thorough renovation of the apron was imperative. The distinctive feature of the site is that it is situated at a strategically important location. This constitutes a double challenge.
