This paper describes the investigation of the time dependent behaviour of roller compacted concrete pavements (RCCP) in port yards resulting from drying shrinkage and thermal stresses, and sedsuridi effects on the joint width. Test results show that even with a joint spacing of 8 m, approximately 1 N/mm2 of thermal stress accumulates in winter due to daily and seasonal temperature fluctuations. It was also confirmed that the joint width increases by approximately 1 .2 mm per 30°C temperature decrease between summer and winter seasons. Therefore, winter thermal stress and joint width should be considered in the design of RCCPs to be placed during the summer.
