Paper by DÍAZ MINGUELA from ISCR 9th 2004 Instanbul Turkey
The state of the art of pavement recycling with cement in Spain is presented in this paper. The different reasons (technical, economical, and environmental) favouring this technique will be reported. Moreover, information will be provided on projects (traffic categories, material prescriptions and structural sections included in Spanish specifications), the construction process, and the main characteristics of the different works performed since the first pavement was recycled in Spain in 1991. Finally, the present condition and behaviour of the recycled projects (almost 7 million m2 with a total of 118 different woks) and its costs (between 30,600 and 90,000 /km) will be analysed.
